We are a small family run farm located in Vale, NC. We started raising percentage boer goats in 2001 and decided to get into fullblooded boer goats in 2006. Our herd has grown considerably since we started with seven percentage does and our first buck. We now have fourty goats which include pygmys, percentage, and fullblood boers.
We use woven wire field fence on all our pastures and do not use any electric fencing. We feed grain and hay that we produce ourselves as well as some commercial feed which is mainly feed to the pregnant does and kids. We deworm our entire herd four times a year and treat individual animals as needed in between. We have a lot of rocks in our pastures and very rarely have to trim any hooves. It's pretty easy to maintain our herd and it's a very rewarding job.
We hope you enjoy our site. Please call or email us to learn more about our farm or if you are interested in starting a boer goat farm of your own. Thank you for visiting with us.
